PAM's Auto is currently seeking to add a full-time permanent position as a Maintenance Technician. This is a 1st shift position Monday-Friday, have your weekends off! About PAM's Auto

PAM's Auto is an automotive parts distributor specializing in recycled, new aftermarket, new surplus, and remanufactured parts. Recycling operations consist of processing vehicles that have been considered a total loss through an insurance claim. Our recycled inventory consists of late-model import and domestic car and truck parts. Our new aftermarket, new surplus, and remanufactured inventory consists of multiple part types from body panels to mechanical drivetrain.

Position Requirements:

  • Attention and Promotion of Safety
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Current, valid MN driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Automotive Service Experience
  • Candidate must have own tools
  • Fabrication and Welding experience
  • Minimum 3 years welding experience

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for design and fabrication of all in house project needs in a fast paced work environment. This fabrication involves cutting, welding, and fastening of multiple different materials to meet the project needs. Candidate is responsible for maintenance of equipment, so working knowledge of a Lock Out/Tag Out Program is beneficial.

The candidate will also be responsible for many of the same job duties as our outside and inside dismantling team. These job duties may include (but are not limited to): Motor and transmission repair, Full dismantle of vehicles, Wheel straightening, Pulling parts in yard, Inspection of return parts for warranty approval, Draining, breakdown, and proper disposal of core parts, etc.

Job Duties:

  • Follow safety guidelines
  • Keep work area clean and safe
  • Design and Fabrication of various projects
  • Cutting, Welding, and Fastening of multiple materials
  • Snow removal
  • Maintenance of equipment
  • Motor and Transmission Repair
  • Wheel straightening
  • Cleanup of incoming parts from other vendors
  • Pulling parts in yard
  • Inspection of return parts for warranty approval
  • Draining, breakdown, and proper disposal of core parts
  • Full dismantle of vehicle
  • Correctly inspect, mark, and tag all parts for inventory
  • Place removed parts on pallet or other designated areas for inventory
  • Avoid damaging parts
  • Operate forklift safely (training provided)
  • Operate front end loader safely (training provided)
  • Help other employees with tasks
